A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DESIGNATING THE
EMERGENCY SERVICES COORDINATOR, THE
FIRE CHIEF AND THE FIRE
ADMINISTRATION CHIEF AGENTS OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR LIAISON TO THE
STATE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
FOR ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO
DISASTER ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, the Office of Emergency Services of the State
of California assists local governments in applying for and
obtaining certain State and Federal financial assistance in the
event of a public disaster or emergency; and,
WHEREAS, the Office of Emergency Services requires
certain assurances and agreements in connection with such
disaster assistance; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that certain
individuals be authorized to act on behalf of the City of Anaheim
to expedite the application process;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the city of Anaheim as follows:
1. The following named officials and employees of the
City of Anaheim are hereby authorized to execute for and in
behalf of the city of Anaheim, a public entity established under
the laws of the State of California, such applications as may be
required, and to file same in the Office of Emergency Services,
for the purpose of obtaining certain Federal financial assistance
under Public Law 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford
Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, or state
financial assistance under the Natural Disaster Assistance Act:
Robert G. Berg, Emergency Services Coordinator
Jeff Bowman, Fire Chief
Steve Magliocco, Fire Administration Chief.
2. That the city of Anaheim, a public entity
established under the laws of the State of California, hereby
authorizes the above-named agents to execute and to provide to
the State Office of Emergency Services, for all matters
pertaining to such state disaster assistance, the assurances and
agreements required.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of
October ,1992.
