A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQ7ESTIN THE COT? OF ORANGE TO
INCUME WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIHWAY FINANCING
ParRAM THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUNKIST STREET
WHEREAS, Sunkist Street is an important
artery in the County of Oraege and cf general County interest; and
WHEREAS, Article atd Article J, Chspter 9, Division 2
of the Streets and Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so
desires, to expend funds apportioned to it out of the California
Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City ir the improvement,
construction or repair of a street within a City; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appro-
priate action, provide in the County Budget of the Special Road
Improvement Fund for the Fiscal 'ear 1965 a sum of
money for the improvement of streets withit the Lrcorporated
cities of the County in accordance wit'l tne Orange County Arterial
Highway Financing Program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESCLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the Cit of Anaheim hereby requests the Board
of Supervisors of the Couaty of Orange to allocate to said City
from County Funds the amoent of t27 000.00

said City in the improvemett of Sunkist Street
from Palma Avenue to
Lincenue and for the acquisi-
tion of necessary rights of way; said improvements and acquisition
of rights of way to be in accordance with the attached project
statement.
BE TT FURT!- RESOLVED that the BrArd of Supervisors of
the County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work
and acquisition of rights of way on Sunkist Street
in the manner provide, is in the gfneral County interest.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this resolution, the City
of Anaheim agrees with tile basic concepts of the Arterial Highvays
Financing Program; ard further agrees that its share of the cost
of improvements and rights of way will be available for the fiscal
year 1965
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this
resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Orarge County, Califor-
nia, and a certified copy to the County Surveyor and Road Commis-
sioner, 400 West 8th Street, Santa Ara, California.
