A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED
CONVEYING TO THE.CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ELECTRIC POWER
POLES, POWER LINES AND CROSS -ARM PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for electric power
poles. power lines and cross -arm purposes
and
WHEREAS, the owner of said property ha s offered
to sell and convey the same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of ANAHEIM UNION WATER
COMPANY
to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described real
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, to be used for an easement for electric
Hower poles. power lines and cross -arm purposes
and more particularly described as follows:
An easement for electric power poles, power lines
and cross arms over, under and across the Northerly
53.00 feet (as measured at right angles to the center
line of Orangethorpe Avenue) of that parcel of land
described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Section 1, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan
Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California; thence Easterly along the
North line of said Section 1, a distance of 28.78
chains to the West line of the Kraemer Tract, as shown
on a Map recorded in Book 1, pages 111 and 112 of Mis-
cellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California;
thence South 14 West along the West line of said
Kraemer Tract a distance of 15.30 chains; thence West
24.95 chains to the West line of said Section 1; thence
North 14.89 chains to the point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom the Northerly 270 feet of the
Westerly 270 feet thereof.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owner or owners of said real property, out of General Funds of
the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 15th day of December 19 64
