ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:

AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
RESOLUTION NO. 64R -868
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit
Installation of traffic signal detector modifications
consisting of installation of inductive loops and
removal of pressure detectors, and appurtenant work
as more particularly set forth in the plans and
specifications on file in the office of the City
Clerk or City Engineer, Job No. 305, at the follow-
ing locations in the City of Anaheim: Lincoln Avenue
at State College Boulevard, La Palma Avenue at State
College Boulevard, and Anaheim Boulevard at Ball
Road.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public
Works De artment to prepare detailed designs,
f•lairoll specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Public Works De•artment has
prepared said detailed esigns, pans, pro i es, srawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved.
NOW, TIEREF'CRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings acrd specifications for s ;,.id public improve-
ment hereinabove ment io ed and described be •.nd the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public
Works De artment �o
D BE IT F7RTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment shall be co r.stwuted in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profi.les, drawings and specifications as
prepared by said Public Works De artment and hereby
approved, and such a;clde oa or modi ications thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim lie, and see is hereby, authorized :end directed
to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant,, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities a7rd transportation, including
power, fu 1 and water, and performing all, work necessary to
construct and complete, i,V. a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accord nee with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings .;.nd specifications as prepared by said Public Works

above mentioned and decor ibed, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said Public Works De artment
