A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE ORANGE COUNTY
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT TO CONSTRUCT A
SERVICE CONNECTION ON THE SANTIAGO LATERAL.

WHEREAS, the Orange County Municipal Water District
is a public agency whose primary purpose is to provide a
means whereby inclusion of the City of Anaheim in the Metro-
politan Water District of Southern California can be maintained,
a right to a supply of water from said Metropolitan Water Dis-
trict be secured, and bills for service of water be rendered
to the City of Anaheim through the Orange County Municipal
Water District by the Metropolitan Water District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim now finds that it is
necessary, in order to provide an adequate supply of water
to water users within the City of Anaheim, to construct a
service connection at and near station 201 +73 on the Santiago
Lateral of the Metropolitan Water District; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Municipal Water District
has tendered to the City of Anaheim an agreement wherein the
Orange County Municipal Water District agrees to act as an
agent of the City of Anaheim in securing water and handling
the payment therefor; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim to
enter into said agreement and that said agreement should be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the agreement tendered to the
City of Anaheim by the Orange County Municipal Water District
to secure water and provide for payment therefor be made and
entered by and between said District and the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to sign said agree-
ment for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me on this 24th day of November 1964.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
