RESOLUTION NO. 64R- 836
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING NO PARKING AREAS ON
PORTIONS OF HARBOR AND ANAHEIM BOULEVARDS.
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of
California is planning an extensive revision of the traffic
signal at Harbor and Anaheim Boulevards and installation of a
signal at Harbor Boulevard and Romneya Drive; and
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Division of
Highways to prohibit parking on both sides of Harbor Boulevard
from Victor Avenue to 350 feet north of the center line of
Romneya Drive and on both sides of Anaheim Boulevard from the
center line of Harbor Boulevard to 305 feet easterly of Harbor
Boulevard, in order to accommodate the channelization proposed
in connection with said signalization improvement; and
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code of the
State of California authorizes the City Council to restrict or
prohibit parking on a State highway, if the resolution is first
submitted to and approved, in writing, by the Department of
Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways has requested that
the prohibition of parking be inoperative six months after
withdrawal of the approval of the Department of Public Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that parking be prohibited on both sides of
Harbor Boulevard from Victor Avenue to 350 feet north of the
center line of Romneya Drive, and on both sides of Anaheim
Boulevard from the center line of Harbor Boulevard to 305 feet
easterly of Harbor Boulevard.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall go
into effect immediately upon approval, in writing, by the
Department of Public Works of the State of California, and that
said prohibition of parking and this resolution shall cease to
be effective six months after receipt by the City Council of
written notice of withdrawal of approval of the Department of
Public Works of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 17th day of November, 1964.
