64-830WHEREAS, Section 21351 of the California Vehicle
Code provides that local authorities in their respective
jurisdiction shall have authority to place and maintain or
cause to be placed and maintained such traffic signs as may
be necessary to indicate and to carry out the provisions of
the California Vehicle Code and local traffic ordinances, or
to regulate, warn or guide traffic; and
WHEREAS, Section 14.44.070 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code provides that parking limits previously established by
the City Council may be increased, shortened, or done away
with from time to time, by resolution of the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that the fifteen
minute parking zone on the south side of Broadway immediately
west of the crosswalk in front of the United States Post Office
should be changed to a "No Parking" zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the fifteen- minute parking zone
on the south side of Broadway immediately west of the cross-
walk in front of the United States Post Office be changed to
a "No Parking" zone.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public
Works and Superintendent of Streets be, and he is hereby authori-
zed and directed to place and maintain upon the curb surface
within said zone red paint or other red material.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 10th day of November, 1964.
