1965-192A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED
CONVEYING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC
UTILITY PURPOSES.
RESOLUTION NO. 65R 192
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and
public utility purposes
and
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the South 100 feet.
WHEREAS, the owners of said property ha ve offered
to sell and convey the same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of EARL SPIRES and DAISY
SPIRES husband and wife
to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described rea
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, to be used for an easement for road and
_public utility purposes
and more particularly described as follows:
An easement for road and public utility purposes over, under and
across the Northeasterly 3.00 feet (as measured at right angles
to the Southwesterly line of the California State Highway) of
the following described land:
That portion of The Joseph Fiscus Subdivision," as shown on
a Map recorded in Book 8, page 73 of Miscellaneous Maps, records
of said Orange County, being that portion of Los Angeles Street,
60.00 feet wide, adjoining Lot 1 of said tract on the east,
abandoned by Resolution of the Board of Supervisors of said
County, a copy of which was recorded April 22, 1930 in Book 369,
page 480 of Official Records and by the State of California
Highway Commission by document recorded June 3, 1943 in Book
1196, page 53 of said Official Records, bounded westerly by
the East line of said Lot 1, bounded Southerly by the easterly
prolongation of the South line of said Lot 1, and bounded
Northeasterly by the Southwesterly line of the right of way,
100.00 feet wide, referred to in said abandonment, as said
right of way is shown on a Map filed in Book 34, page 21 of
Record of Surveys, in the Office of the County Recorder of said
County and as shown on a Map prepared by the State of California
desigdated District VII, Orange County, Route 2, Sec. D, Sheet
20 filed in State Highway Map Book 1, page 73 -A in the Office
of the State Highway Engineer.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the
City of Anaheim be and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owner or owners of said real property, out of General Funds of
the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
