91-007 RESOLUTION NO. 91R-7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN
THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING
PROGRAM THE SEISMIC SAFETY RETROFIT
OF VARIOUS BRIDGES.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to retrofit for
seismic safety the bridges listed on Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned bridges are important
arteries in the County of Orange and of general County interest;
and
WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2
of the Streets and Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so
desires, to expend funds apportioned to it out of the California
Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improvement,
construction, or repair of a street within a city; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by
appropriate action, provide in the County Road budget for the
Fiscal year 1991-1992, a sum of money for the improvement of
streets within the incorporated cities of the County in
accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Orange to allocate to said city from County Funds
the amount of Six Hundred Six Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Five
Dollars ($606,375.00), to be used to aid said City in the seismic
safety retrofitting of said bridges.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the
City of Anaheim agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial
Highway Financing Program.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 15th day of January ,
1991.
