A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND
ORDERING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN
AND DESIGNATED AS ANNEXATION NO.
279.
WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission
authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without
notice and hearing and without an election pursuant to the
authority vested in said Commission by Section 56837 of the
Government Code; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is contiguous to the city of Anaheim, and is
uninhabited territory. That said consent contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
authorized to approve and order said annexation by resolution
without notice and hearing pursuant to the approval of said Local
Agency Formation Commission and Section 56837 of the Government
Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim finds:
That proof satisfactory to the Local Agency Formation
Commission was submitted that all of the owners of land within
the territory proposed to be annexed have given their signed
consent to such annexation. That said territory proposed to be
annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of
Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said consent signed
by the owner of land within the territory proposed to be annexed
contained a description of said territory in words and figures as
· hereinafter in this resolution described.
That the landowner filed said request to annex said
territory, containing the specific boundaries of the territory to
be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commission and said
Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexation
request of the landowner pursuant to Section 56837 of the
Government Code.
That on the 14th day of November, 1990, the Local
Agency Formation Commission duly adopted Resolution No. 90-30 in
which said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex
said territory in accordance with Section 56837 of the Government
Code and further approve such annexation of said territory
without notice or hearing by the City Council and without the
requirement that an election be held by the City on the question
of said annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annexation of the
territory included within the boundaries of Annexation No. 279
more particularly described as follows, to wit:

is hereby approved and said territory is hereby ordered annexed
to and incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, and is hereby designated as Annexation No.
279 to the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the
Executive officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission. Said
annexation shall be effective upon the date the Executive Officer
records a certified copy of the certificate of completion of
proceedings with the County Recorder of the County of Orange and,
from and after the effective date of such annexation, all
property therein shall be subject to taxation equally with the
property within the City of Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay its
proportionate share of the existing indebtedness and liability of
said City of Anaheim contracted prior to or existing at the time
of such annexation pursuant to the written consent of the owner
of property in said annexed territory.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 8th day of January,
1991.

of Miscellaneous Maps record of Orange county, described as follows:

Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Anaheim
as established by "Orange-Thistle Annexation" to said City, said angle point being the
most Northwest corner of said annexation;

Thence following along said existing boundary line South 00°38'33" West,

344.82 feet more or less to the most Southeast corner of that certain parcel of land

Thence leaving said existing boundary of said City, following along the

Thence North 00038'33" East, 364.82 feet to the centerline of Orange Avenue

as described in Easement deed to the County of Orange recorded April 18, 1967 in

Thence following along said centerline, South 89°41'37" East, 179.15 feet
more or less to a point on the existing boundary of said City as established by

"Orange-Brookhurst Annexation" to said City, said point being North 00°38'33" East,

20.00 feet from the most Westerly Southwest corner of said last mentioned annexation;

Thence following along said existing boundary per "Orange-Brookhurst
Annexation" and "Orange-Thistle Annexation" South 00038'33" West 20.00 feet and
North 89a41'37" West, 59.75 feet to the Point of Beginning.
The above described parcel of land contains 1.03 acres more or less.
