A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
WORKS - CITY ENGINEER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
FOR FUNDING UNDER THE STATE LOCAL PARTNERSHIP
PROGRAM FOR HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
WHEREAS, Streets and Highways Code Section 2601(a)
("the legislation"), among other things, establishes a program
known as the State-Local Partnership Program; and
WHEREAS, the legislation provides that it is the intent
of the Legislature to appropriate up to $300 million for eligible
transportation projects; and
WHEREAS, the term "eligible projects" is defined to
mean a local road, state highway, or an exclusive public mass
transit guideway improvement project that meets certain
conditions described in the legislation; and
WHEREAS, the legislation provides for applications for
funding eligible projects be submitted to the Department of
Transportation of the State of California in accordance with time
limitations set forth therein; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Director of Public Works - City
Engineer be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute an agreement
for funding for highway improvement projects pursuant to the
legislation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 18th day of June,
1991.
