A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
ACCEPTANCE OF CERTAIN DEEDS FROM ESSEX WIRE
CORPORATION AND OTHERS, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED TO
ESSEX WIRE CORPORATION AND OTHERS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is in the best interests of the City to exchange certain
parcels of land with Essex Wire Corporation and others; and
WHEREAS, the Essex Wire Corporation, et al. have
tendered a corporation Grant Deed to the City of Anaheim cover-
ing the following described property:
The real property in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as:
Those parcels of land, being a portion of the South-
west quarter of Section 3, Township 4 South, Range 10
West, S.B.B. M., described as follows:
PARCEL ONE: Commencing at the Northwest corner of
Lot 23 of the Gresswell Subdivision, as shown on a
Map recorded in Book 6, page 47 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California; thence Westerly
9.00 feet; thence North 0 01' 22" West 264.08 feet;
thence North 89 58' 38" East 47.40 feet; thence
North 0 11' 54" West 25.00 feet to the true point of
beginning; thence North 89 57' 55" West a distance of
46.45 feet; thence North 0 17' 26" West 1.081 feet;
thence North 89 28' 06" East a distance of 46.45 feet;
thence South 0 11' 54" East 1.15 feet to the true point
of beginning.
PARCEL TWO: Commencing at the Northwest corner of Lot
23 of Gresswell Subdivision, as shown on a Map recorded
in Book 6, page 47 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California; thence Westerly 9.00 feet;
thence North 0 01' 22" West 264.08 feet; thence
North 89 58' 38" East 47.40 feet; thence North 0 11' 54"
West 25.00 feet; thence North 89 57' 55" West 46.45
feet; thence North 0 17' 26" West 27.12 feet to the
true point of beginning; thence South 89 57' 55" East
.61 feet; thence North 0 17' 26" West 24.28 feet;
thence South 89 59' 58" West .80 feet; thence South
0 02' 00" West 24.32 feet to the true point of
beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the Essex Wire Corporation, et al. have
tendered a Corporation Easement Deed to the City of Anaheim
covering the following described property:
Easements over land in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
PARCEL ONE: An easement for road and public utility
purposes over, under and across the Easterly 30.00
feet, as measured at right angles to the center line of
Patt Street, of the South half of the Northeast quarter
of the Southwest quarter, and that portion of the North
half of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter
of Section 3, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. M.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM any portion thereof lying Southerly
of a line parallel with and 60.00 feet North of the
North line of Lot 24 of the Gresswell Subdivision, as
shown on a Map recorded in Book 6, page 47 of Miscel-
laneous Maps, records of Orange County, California.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM any portion included within the
Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway and all land
lying Northerly of said Railroad property.
PARCEL TWO: An easement for ingress and egress and
pudic utilities and the maintenance thereof, over,
under and across the following described property:
Beginning at a point on the Westerly extension of the
North line of Lot 23 of the Gresswell Subdivision, as
shown on a Map recorded in Book 6, page 47 of Miscellane-
ous Maps, records of Orange County, California, said
point being 9.00 feet West of the Northwest corner of
said Lot 23; thence North 0 01' 22" West, a distance
of 264.08 feet thence South 89 58' 38" West 5.00 feet;
thence South 0 01 22" East 264.08 feet to an inter-
section with the Westerly prolongation of the North line
of said Lot 23; thence Easterly to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, in exchange for the foregoing and to
accomplish the de facto status of the property, the City of Ana-
heim has prepared its Grant Deed to Essex Wire Corporation, et al.
covering the following described property.
The real property in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as:
Those parcels of land being a portion of the Southwest
quarter of Section 3, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown on
a Map recorded in Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of said Orange County, described as
follows:
PARCEL ONE: Lot 23 and the West 45.08 feet of Lot 24
of the Gresswell Subdivision, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 6, page 47 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California.
RESERVING therefrom an easement, unto the Grantor, over
under and across the Southerly 10 feet for alley and
public utility purposes.

PARCEL TWO: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot
23 'the Gresswell Subdivision, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 6, page 47 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California; thence North
45 02' 47" East a distance of 84.81 feet; thence
South 89 °`58' 08" East 89.18 feet; thence-South
0 02' 00" East 17.31 feet; thence North 89 58' 08"
West 89.18 feet; thence South 0 02' 00" East 42.69
feet to an intersection with the North line of Lot 24
of said Gresswell Subdivision; thence Westerly along
a portion of the North line of said Lot 24 and the
Westerly prolongation thereof to the point of
beginning.
RESERVING therefrom an easement, unto the Grantor, for
road and public utility purposes over, under and
across the most Easterly 10 feet thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it accept and itrdoes hereby accept
the Corporation Grant Deed and the Corporation Easement Deed to
which reference has been heretofore made.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the
City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
execute the Grant Deed to which reference has been heretofore
made.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 8th day of June, 1965.
