1965-421WHEREAS, heretofore, by its resolution duly adopted
and passed on the 29th day of May, 1962, the City of Anaheim
authorized and directed the initiation of condemnation pro-
ceedings which resulted in the commencement of Orange County
Superior Court Case No. 106288, being entitled "City of
Anaheim vs. William G. Abbott, et al. and
WHEREAS, Defendants Edward Hanlan Bowser and Mary
E. Bowler have offered to deed the property sought to be con-
demned by the City of Anaheim to the City for a total cash
consideration of $8,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
finds that the sum of $8,500.00 is a fair and reasonable
amount to be paid for the property condemned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Director of Finance be, and
he is hereby authorized and directed to deliver to the City
Attorney's office the sum of $8,500.00, payable to Edward
Hanlan Bowler and Mary E. Bowler, to be delivered by the City
Attorney to said defendants when the City Attorney holds a
grant deed in favor of the City of Anaheim, executed by
Edward Hanlan Bowler and Mary E. Bowler conveying the property
condemned.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 8th day of June, 1965.
