1965-397WHEREAS, at the request of the City Engineer, the
Division of Highways of the State of California has investi-
gated the need for a "No Parking" restriction on the south side
of Lincoln Avenue in front of 1776 West Lincoln Avenue; and
WHEREAS, by letter dated May 4, 1965 the Division of
Highways advised the City Engineer that the results of its in-
vestigation indicate that it would be desirable to prohibit
parking on the south side of Lincoln Avenue, beginning at a
point 750 feet easterly of the prolongation of the center line
of Crescent Way and extending a distance of 150 feet easterly
thereof; and
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code of the
State of California authorizes the City Council to restrict or
prohibit parking on a state highway, if the resolution is first
submitted to and approved, in writing, by the Department of
Public Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that parking be prohibited at all times on
the south side of Lincoln Avenue, beginning at a point 750 feet
easterly of the prolongation of the center line of Crescent Way
and extending a distance of 150 feet easterly thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall go
into effect immediately upon approval, in writing, by the Depart-
ment of Public Works of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 1st day of June, 1965.
