1965-375WHEREAS, the City Council did on March 9, 1965 adopt
Resolution No. 65R -175 changing the name of that certain cul -de-
sac street in Tract No. 5262 in the City of Anaheim, designated
"Savoy Place," to Drury Place; and
WHEREAS, a petition signed by the residents of Lots 10
through 15 of Tract No. 5262, the lots bordering on said cul -de-
sac street, has been filed with the City urging that the name of
Savoy Place be retained for said street, inasmuch as said change
of name will create a severe inconvenience resulting in confusion
and financial loss to said residents; and
WHEREAS, said petitioners have advised the City Council
that none of the residents on Savoy Place were notified of said
proposed change of street name, even though the majority of the
homeowners have resided on Savoy Place for more than nine months;
and
WHEREAS, upon further consideration of the matter, the
City Council finds that said petition should be granted, and that
the name "Savoy Place," should be retained for said cul -de -sac
street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the name of that certain cul -de -sac street
in Tract No. 5262, in the City of Anaheim, designated "Drury
Place," be and the same is hereby changed to Savoy Place.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 25th day of May, 1965.
