A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT TO BE MADE AND
ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANA-
HEIM AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT
OF PUBLIC WORKS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS DESIG-
NATED AS UTILITIES AGREEMENT NO. 7Ut-
FOR THE RELOCATION OF CERTAIN UTILITY FACILI-
TIES OWNED BY THE CITY.
WHEREAS, construction of the Riverside Freeway, Road
07- Ora -91 5.3/9.3, between 0.1 mile west of Lemon Street and the
Newport Freeway (Route 55), necessitates the relocation of cer-
tain utility facilities owned by the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Public
Works, Division of Highways, has tendered to the City of Anaheim
Utilities Agreement No. 7Ut -3171, to be made and entered into
by and between the State of California, Department of Public
Works, Division of Highways, and the City of Anaheim, wherein
it is proposed that the City of Anaheim relocate certain utility
facilities owned by it to clear the construction area of the
Riverside Freeway between 0.1 mile west of Lemon Street and the
Newport Freeway (Route 55), with its own forces and equipment,
and that the State of California will reimburse the City for
said work in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth
in said Utilities Agreement No. 7Ut -3171, the estimated cost to
the State of said work being $2,000.00; and that the State per-
form and pay for certain relocation work, as more particularly
set forth in said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim to enter
into said agreement with the State of California, Department
of Public Works, Division of Highways.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the proposed agreement, being
Utilities Agreement No. 7Ut -3171, this day submitted to the City
Council, to be made and entered into by and between the State
of California, Department of Public Works, Division of Highways,
and the City of Anaheim, relating to the relocation of certain
utility facilities to clear the construction area of the River-
side Freeway between 0.1 mile west of Lemon Street and the New-
port Freeway (Route 55), be and the same is hereby approved; and
that the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be and
they are hereby authorized to execute said Utilities Agreement
No. 7Ut -3171 for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this nth day of May, 1965.
