A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF
JULIANNA STREET BETWEEN HARBOR BOULEVARD AND
CITRON STREET TO THROUGH TRAFFIC
WHEREAS, Section 21202 of the California Vehicle Code
authorizes local authorities to adopt rules and regulations
concerning the closure of streets or highways or the prohibit-
ion of entry to or exit from, or both, any street; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has adopted such rules and
regulations by the adoption of that certain document entitled
"Street Closures and Prohibited Street Access" on file in the
Office of the City Clerk; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has been requested to
close Julianna Street between Harbor Boulevard and Citron Street
to through traffic; and,
WHEREAS, the city Engineer or his designee has
carefully studied said request and recommended approval thereof;
and,
WHEREAS, the closure of Julianna St. between Harbor
Boulevard and Citron Street will eliminate or reduce through
traffic from Julianna Street, which street is a residential
neighborhood; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the public
to close Julianna Street between Harbor Boulevard and Citron
Street to through traffic; and,
WHEREAS, said closure will be in conformity with all
of the requirements of the rules and regulations heretofore
adopted by the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 21010 of the
Vehicle Code.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby approve and order the closure of
Julianna Street between Harbor Boulevard and Citron Street to
through traffic.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 14th day of May, 1991.
