A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
WORKS-CITY ENGINEER TO EXECUTE APPLICATIONS
FOR FUNDING OF HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
UNDER THE STATE/LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (THIRD CYCLE)
WHEREAS, State/Local Transportation Partnership
Program (found at Section 2600, et. seq., of the Street and
Highways Code "the Legislation"), among other things, establishes
a program known as the State-Local Transportation Demonstration
Program; and
WHEREAS, the legislation provides that it is the intent
of the Legislature to appropriate funds for eligible
transportation projects in the 1991-92 fiscal year and ensuing
years; and
WHEREAS, the term "eligible projects" is defined to
mean a local road, state highway, or an exclusive public mass
transit guideway improvement project that meets certain
conditions described in the legislation; and
WHEREAS, the legislation provides for applications for
funding eligible projects be submitted to the Department of
Transportation of the State of California in accordance with time
limitations set forth therein; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent and desire of the City
Council that the City of Anaheim apply for funding for highway
improvement projects pursuant to the guidelines set forth in the
legislation and by the Department of Transportation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the city of Anaheim that the Director of Public Works-City
Engineer be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute applications
necessary to apply for funding for highway improvement projects
pursuant to the legislation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 7th day of May, 1991.
