A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AGREEING TO A
REDISTRIBUTION OF PROPERTY TAXES
FOR ANNEXATION NO. 280 - THE GYPSUM
CANYON ANNEXATION - TO THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the owner of the Gypsum Canyon property
located south of the Riverside Freeway (Route 91) at Gypsum
Canyon Road is preparing to annex to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, Section 99(B) of the Revenue and Taxation Code
requires jurisdictions involved in any jurisdictional change to
agree to a property tax redistribution prior to the change
becoming complete; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange
have agreed to a Master Property Tax Transfer Agreement
establishing a formula for said redistribution; and
WHEREAS, on March 22, 1991, the Executive Officer of
the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) determined that the
property which is the subject of Annexation No. 280 (the Gypsum
Canyon Annexation) is "Undeveloped" as that term is used in the
Master Property Tax Transfer Agreement; and
WHEREAS, a legal description and map depicting the area
of Annexation No. 280 (The Gypsum Canyon Annexation) is attached
hereto and designated Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby agree to a redistribution of
property tax for Annexation No. 280 - Gypsum Canyon pursuant to
the "Undeveloped" provisions of the Master Property Tax Transfer
Agreement~
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 9th day of April, 1990.
