ORDINANCE NO. 3115
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 1, CHAPTER 1.12, BY ADDING SECTION 1.12.
080 PERTAINING TO THE DESTRUCTION OF COPIES
OF CITY RECORDS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI`T'Y OF ANAHEII.1 DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That Title 1, Chapter 1.12, of the Anaheim Municipal
Code is hereby amended by adding thereto Section 1.12.080 to
read as follows:
"°1.12.080 Destruction of Copies of City Records.
Copies of City records, documents, instruments, books
and papers which are kept or maintained as records of
a City Department, where the originals of said records,
documents, instruments, books or papers are kept and
maintained by another department of the City, may be
destroyed by the departments having possession of the
copies under the following procedure:
The department head shall find in writing that said
copies are no longer needed by his department; the
City Attorney shall consent in writing to the destruc-
tion of said copies of City records, documents, instru-
ments, book or papers; and the record of destruction
shall be maintained as an original document by the
department destroying said copies."
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City and thirty (30) days from and after the
final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
