91-074 RESOILTION NO. 91t/- 74 A RESOLUI~ON OF ~HE CITY ODUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANA~:~ AM~qDING PtlRSONNEL RULE 19, B~REAV~M~qT LEAVE, AS S~ FOl~l~ IN RESOLUI~ON NO. 88R-166 WHEREAS, on April 26, 1988, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 88R-166 adopting Personnel Rules covering management, confidential and non-represented part-time e~ployees; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated March 12, 1991, that Personnel Rule 19, Bereavement I~ave, be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth; and WHt~EAS, the City Cour~il of the city of Anaheim does find that such amendments are in the best interest of the city of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city of Anaheim that Sections 19.01 and 19.03 of Personnel Rule 19 as set forth in Resolution No. 88R-166 be, and the same are hereby, amended to read as follows: "19.01 In the event a death occurs among other family members of a full-time confidential or management employes in the classified service, the employee shall be granted bereavement leave with pay for up to a m~ximum of eight (8) work hours. Other family members shall be defined as grandparent, grandchild, daughter- in-law, son-in-law, not under the same roof of the employee, and any grandparent, grandchild, child, brother or sister of the e~ployee's spouse, regardless of residence." "19.03 The City will guarantee, that in addition to the above, employees may use all available sick leave or vacation on the books up to forty (40) ho~rs. If no sick leave or vacation is on the books, the City guarantees the employee the ability to use leave without pay up to forty (40) boors." AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended, Resolution No. 88R-166 shall remain in full force a~d effect.
