A RESOLLTION OF THE ~1'1'~ COUNCIL OF THE ~IT~ OF
~ AMenDING P~%SONNEL RULE 15, HOT.T~AYS,
AS S~T FOl~I~ IN RESOLUTION NO. 88R-166
W-H~REAS, on April 26, 1988, the city Council adouted ~solution
No. 88R-166 adopting Personnel Rules covering management, confidential and
non-re~resented part-time employees; and
WH~.EAS, the Human Resources Director has reo~LU,~/%ded in a staff
report dated March 12, 1991, that Personnel Rule 15, Holidays, be amended
in the manner hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
such amendment is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Sections 15.0 and 15.5 of Personnel Rule 15 as set forth in
Resolution No. 88R-166 be, and the same are hereby, amended to read as
follows:
"Section 15.0 The following days shall be recognized as holidays, and
regular full-time confidential and maD~gement employees in the classified
service, with the exception of Fire Battalion Chief assigned to
suppression as outlined in Section 15.3, shall have these holidays off
with pay.
January 1st, New Year's Day
Third Monday in January, Martin Luther King's Birthday
Third Monday in Feb~ary, President's Day
Last Monday in May, Memorial Day
July 4th, Independence Day
First Monday in September, Labor Day
November 11th, Veteran's Day
Fourth Thursday in November, Thanksgiving Day
Friday after Thanksgiving Day
December 25th, Ckristmas Day
Every day designated by the City Council for a public feast,
~iving or holiday"
"Section 15.5 The following days shall be recognized as flexible
holidays; and regular, full-time confidential and management e~ployees in
the classified service sbmll accrue additional paid vacation in accordance
with Section 16.0 in lieu of having the following holidays off with pay:
February 12, Lincoln's Birthday
Good Friday
September 9, Admission Day
E~ployee ' s Birthday
1/2 Day f~lristmas Eve
Day After C~ristmas"
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended,
l~solution No. 88R-166 shall re~ain in full force and effect.
THE FORMGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Ark3heJ_~ this 19thday of March, 1991.
