AN ORDIIIHANCE OF T.�E CITY OF ANAHEI1 ADDING
SECTIONS 1.04.450, 1.04.460, 1.04.470,
1.04.400 and 1.04.490 TO TITLE 1, CHAPTER
1.04 OF THE ANAHEIM IUTvICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, Section 900 of the City Charter of the City
of Anaheim authorized the City Council to establish such advisory
boards and commissions as the City Council may determine to be
necessary; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for an advisory board to advise
the City Council on matters relating to the fine arts; and
WHEREAS, an organization known as the Anahei=_t? Arts
Council has heretofore been organized and established, which or-
ganization can fulfill the needs and purposes of such an advisory
board.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF A4AHEIM
DOE'S ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Sections 1.04.450, 1.04.460, 1.04.470, 1.04.430 and
1.04.490 be, and the same are hereby, added to Title 1, Chapter
1.04 of the. Anaheim Municipal Code to read as follows:
"1.04.450 A114AHEIi\11 ARTS COUNCIL
There is hereby established, pur-
suant to Section 900 of the Charter of the City of
Anaheim an advisory body which shall be called the
Anaheim Arts Council (hereinafter "board").
1.04.460 PURPOSE AND DUTIES
Said board shall advise the City
Council on all matters relating to the fine arts and
upon such other matters as may be specifically refer-
red to said board by the City Council.
1.0 4.4 7 0 BOARD ME1,7BERS
The board members holding office
when this ordinance takes effect shall continue to
hold office thereafter until their successors shall
be duly appointed as provided herein. All successor
board members shall be selected and recommended by the
Anaheim Arts Council subject to the approval of the
City Council.

1.04.480 CONTRIBUTIONS AND EXPENDITURES
All contributions made to, or
received by, the Anaheim Arts Council shall be deemed
contributions to the City of Anaheim. All funds so
received shall be used exclusively for public purposes
by the Anaheim Arts Council and all expenditures from
said funds shall be subject to the approval of the
City Council.
1.04.490 ORGANIZATION
Except as otherwise specified
herein, the organization, terms of office, purposes,
objectives and activities of the Anaheim Arts Council
shall be as determined by said board subject to the
review and approval of the City Council."
SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY.
The. City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares
that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this chap-
ter of the Code, hereby adopted, be declared for anv reason to be
invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed
all other portions of this chapter independent of the elimination
herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this or-
dinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said
City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it
shall take effect and be in full force.

ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Seymour
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim signed said
Ordinance No. 3793 on the 6th day of December, 1977.
