AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEI1.1 AIHE 1D-
ING TITLE 1, CHAPTER 1.04, SECTION 1.04.270
OF THE ANAHEI11 1,UNICIPAL CODE RELATING 9.10
PURCHASES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF HE CITY OF Z7\NAHEI11 DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 1, Chapter 1.04, Section 1.04.270 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended to
read as follows:
"Section 1.04.270 PURCHASES - COMPETITIVE BIDS
Purchases involving over Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) but
less than the amounts specified in Section 1.04.260 of this
Chapter will be made by obtaining at least three (3) com-
petitive bids without the necessity of advertising, but with
solicitation by letter, telephone or otherwise. Purchases
shall then be made from the lowest responsible bidder."
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this or-
dinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said
City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it
shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by_ me
this 12 th day of July , 1977.
