AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 14, CHAPTER 14.32 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SECTION 14.32.430
RELATING TO PARKING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 14, Chapter 14.32 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding
thereto Section 14.32.430 to read as follows:
1114.32.430 DESIGNATED PARKING - RESERVED FOR
PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED PERSONS
It is unlawful to park or leave standing
any vehicle in a parking space designated
for the exclusive use of physically handi-
capped persons, unless said vehicle displays
either of the distinguishing license plates
or placards issued to disabled persons,
pursuant to Section 22511.5 of the Vehicle
Code, or the distinguishing license plate or
placard issued to disabled veterans as
specified in Section 9105 of the Vehicle Code.
The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to
determine and to designate such parking space
in publicly owned, leased, or controlled
parking facilities. Such parking space shall
be indicated by blue paint on the curb and/
or on the pavement, and may contain a painted
message and/or symbol on the pavement within
each parking space. In addition, such
parking space may be indicated by standard
approved signs consisting of a profile view
of a wheelchair with occupant in white on a
blue background posted immediately adjacent
to, or visible from, each parking space."
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.
