AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEII`. AZ.�NDING
ORDINANCE NO. 2426 RELATING TO TRAFFIC CONTROL
DEVICES AND TURNING INOVENENTS .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM- DOES FIND THAT:
WHEREAS, through inadvertence or oversight Ordinance
No. 2426 added Chapter 14.52 and Section 14.52.010 to the
Anaheim Municipal Code when, in fact, a chapter and section
bearing these numbers had previously been added to said Code
relating to a different matter; and
L4'HEREAS , a duplication of these numbers in said Code
will result in considerable confusion to the public and to the
City of Anaheim;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1.
That Ordinance No. 2426 of the City of Anaheim be, and
the same is hereby amended as follows:
1. That the title of said ordinance be, and the same
is hereby amended to read:
"AIT ORDINANCE OF THE. CITY OF ANA.HEI " AMENDING
TITLE 14, CHAPTER 14.20 OF THE ANAHEIM TMUNICIPAL
CODE BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 14.20.050 RELATING
TO TEMPORARY S I GMS . "
2. That Section 1 of said ordinance be, and the same
is hereby amended to read:
"SECTION 1. That Title 14, Chapter 14.20 of the
Anaiieiii ianicipal Code be, and the same is hereby
amended by adding thereto Section 14.20.050 reading
as follows:
"SECTION 14.20.050 Temporary Signs. The Chief of
police and his authorized officers are hereby
authorized to erect and maintain temporary signs
or signals regulating traffic and movement of vehicles
upon the streets in the City, so as to prohibit travel
or turning of vehicles upon said streets as, in their
opinion, the occasion may require. No driver of a
vehicle shall disobey the instructions of the signs."
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
