THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITY OF 21ulAHEIL DOLS ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION i. That Title 4. Chapter 4.i6, Section 4.i6.010 of the Anaheim ­.unicipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended ")y amending Paragraph "D11 thereof to read as follows; "SECTION 4.16.010 JL=NITIONS. D. PRIVATE DANCE is a dance to which attendance is limited to persons individually invited and for which no admittance charge is made, or a dance conducted by a bona fide club, society or association, having a benevolent, charitable, dramatic, literary or dancing organizational purpose, which holds regular meetings, :as an established meioLbersi I lip, and provided, when proceeds, if any, arise from such dance, said proceeds are used for said organizational purpose and for which no admission is charged or paid for entrance into such dance at the location of the dance immediately prior to the time of said dance or during said dance.`? SECTION 2. That Title 4, Chapter 4.16, Section 4.16.040 of the :"naheim iliunicipal Code be, and the same is hereby oy amended to read as follows: .SECTION 4.16.040 2yPPLICATION FEE. "A -fee of $25.00 shall be paid upon the filing of each appli- cation for a hermit for the purpose of defraying the expenses incidental to the processing of said application. If a permit is 'thereafter granted, said application fee shall be credited against the regular license fee required under the provisions of Section 3.28.030 of this Code. "Upon compliance with tile applicable sections of -this code, applicants holding a permit to conduct dinner -dancing Eray also conduct public dancing upon premises licensed for said dinner -dancing without o,-taining further permit or making additional payrLiellt of a fee.': SLCTION 3. That Title 40, Chapter 4.16, Section 4.16.050 of the 2+naheim Lunicipal Code be, and t. -ie same is hereby anended by adding there -to Paragraph (4) reading as follows: "SECTION 4.16.050 INVESTIGATION OF APPLICATION --SPECIAL REQUIREP4ENTS FOR DINNER -DANCING PLACE. "There must be served at least one meal of a substantial nature. For the purposes of this section a meal is a quantity of and kind of food which not only consists of a larger quantity of food than that which comprises a sandwich, soup, or salad, but that it consists of a selection of food which is not susceptible of consumption in the absence of at least some articles of tableware and which cannot be conveniently consumed while standing or walking about." SECTION 4. That Title 41, Chapter 4.16, Section 4.16.060 of the Anaheim municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto Paragraph (e) reading as follows: "SECTION 4.16.060 CONDUCT AT DANCES- 11,IINIMUM AGE OF PATRONS -- LIGHTING --HOURS. "(e) No dancing at a dinner dance shall commence prior to 7:00 P.M. nor continue beyond 2:00 A.M. of the same evening." SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
