2575ORDINANCE NO. 7575 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING TITLE 18, CHAPTERS 18.16 , 18.18 and 18.20 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Title 18, Chapter 18.16, Section 18.16.030 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto Paragraph (11) reading as follows: "SECTION 18.16.03.0 PERMITTED ACCESSORY BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND USES. 11(11) FRONT -ON LOTS. "Where a residential structure fronts on an arterial street as designated on the .General Plan, an eight (8) foot high wall or fence and/or screen type planting (no maximum height) shall be permitted within the front setback, but to the rear of the ultimate right-of-way. Said fence, wall and/or planting is permitted as a means of retaining a residential environment. SECTION 2. That Title 18, Chapter 18.18, Section 18.18.020 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto Paragraph (4) reading as follows: "SECTION 18.18.020 PERMITTED BUILDINGS AND USES. "(4) FRONT -ON LOTS. "Where a residential structure fronts on an arterial street as designated on the General Plan, an eight (8) foot high wall or fence and/or screen type planting (no maximum height) shall be permitted within the front setback, but to the rear of the ultimate right-of-way. Said fence, wall and/or planting is permitted as a means of retaining a residential environment. SECTION 3. That Title 18, Chapter 18.20, Section 18.20.010 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto Paragraph (12) reading as follows: "SECTION 18.20.010 USE. "(12) FRONT -ON LOTS. -1- "(a) Where a residential structure fronts on an arterial street, as designated by the General Plan, an eight (8) foot high wall or fence and/or screen type planting (no maximum height) shall be permitted within the front setback, but to the rear of the ultimate right-of-way. Said fence, wall and/or planting shall be permitted as a means of retaining a residential environment. "(b) In the interest of public safety, all plans for the installation of the walls, fences and/or planting permitted by this section shall be reviewed by the Traffic Engineer and the Development Services Department." SECTION 4. The. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
