All ORDINMICE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE
TERRITORY" KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS ORANGE -
THISTLE ANNEXATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF A14AHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
That the City of Anaheim did on the 10th day of
_ April , 1968 , receive a written application signed by all
of the owners o land within the territory proposed to be annexed
to the City of Anaheim. That said territory proposed to be
annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of
Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said application
signed by all of the owners of land within the territory pro-
posed to be annexed contained a description of said territory
in words and figures as hereinafter in this ordinance described.
That the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex
said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the terri-
tory to be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commission
and said Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexa-
tion request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1
of the Government Code.
That on the 12th day of June , 1968 , the Local
Agency Formation Commission duly adopted Resolution No. 68-91
in which said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex
said territory in accordance with Section 54797.1 of the Govern-
ment Code and further approved such annexation of said territory
without notice or hearing.
That the Local Agency Formation Commission further, by
resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim
to annex said territory without notice or hearing by the City
Council and without:. the requirement that an election be held by
the City on the question of said annexation.
SECTION 2,.
That the annexation of the territory included within
the boundaries of the herein described
ORANGE -THISTLE ANNEXATION, and more particu-
larly

aly described as follows, to wit:

THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
Beginning at a point in the existing City Limit line of the City
of Anaheim, as established by the Orange-Brookhurst Annexation to
the City of Anaheim passed by Ordinance No. 1202, December 17,
1957, filed with the Secretary of State January 20, 1958 and re-
corded January 24, 1958 in the office of the County Recorder of
Orange County, California, said point of beginning being distant
from the centerline intersection of Orange Avenue and Brookhurst
Street the following courses and distances: North 890 41' 37"
West 660 feet, more or less, South 00 38' 33" West 20 feet, more
or less, the said centerline intersection of Orange Avenue and
Brookhurst Street being, for the purpose of this description,
the Northeast corner of the Southeast quarter of Section 18,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M.; thence
Following along a portion of the said existing City Limit
line of the City of Anaheim the following courses and distances:
South 890 41' 37" East 263.60 feet, more or less, South 00 38' 33"
West 311.15 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the
North line of the South half of the Northeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 18, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., said point of inter-
section being a point in the existing City Limit line of the
City of Anaheim, as established by the Brookhurst Avenue Annexa-
tion to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance No. 1150 June
25, 1957, filed with the Secretary of State July 29, 1957 and
recorded August 1, 1957 in Official Records of Orange County,
California; thence following along a portion of the last men-
tioned existing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim the
following courses and distances:
North 890 41' 37" West 263.60 feet, more or less, South
00 38' 33" West 33.67 feet, more or less, to an intersection with
the Southerly line of the land described in deed recorded March
10, 1959 in Book 4618, page 474 of Official Records of Orange
County, California; thence
North 890 41' 37" West 59.75 feet, more or less, leaving the
last mentioned existing City Limit line and following along the
Southerly line of the land described in the last mentioned deed
to the Southwest corner thereof; thence

North 0° 38' 33" East 344.82 feet, more or less, along a
portion of the Westerly line of the land described in the last
mentioned deed to an intersection with a line parallel with and
20 feet Southerly, as measured at right angles from the center-
line of the aforementioned Orange Avenue; thence
South 890 41' 37" East 59.75 feet, more or less, along the
last mentioned parallel line to the point of beginning.

is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and
incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Okange,-State
of California, and is hereby designated as the
ORANGE -THISTLE ANNEXATION to the -City of
Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1 of the Government Code and with-
out notice and hearing by the City Council and without the require-
ment that the City hold an election on the question of annexation,
all in accordance with the approval of the Local Agency Formation
Commission.
SECTION 3.
That from and after the -effective date of this ordinance
and the filing of a certified copy thereof with the Secretary of
State of the State of California, the annexation of the ;territory
herein described shall be deemed to be and shall be complete and
thenceforth such annexed territory shall be, to all intents and
purposes, a part of the City of Anaheim, -and from and after the
effective date of such annexation, all property therein shall be
subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of
Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay its proportionate share of
the existing indebtedness and liability of said City of Anaheim
contracted prior to or existing at the time of such annexation
pursuant to the written consent of the owners of property in said
annexed territory filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim
prior to the adoption of this ordinance.
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to -the passage of this
ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Anaheim
Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, and thirty (30) days from and after its final
passage it shall be in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
