AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE BOARD OF.
ADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC
EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That an amendment to the Contract between
the City Council of the City of Anaheim and the Board of Admin-
istration, California Public Employees' Retirement System is
hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto,
marked "Exhibit A," and by such reference made a part hereof as
though herein set out in full.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim are -hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to
execute said amendment for and on behalf of said City of Anaheim.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty
(30) days after tTe date of its adoption, and prior to the
expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof shall
be published at least once in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of
Anaheim and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
this 27th day of August ,, 1968.

BOARD OF ADMIINISTRATION
PUBLIC MIPLOYEES t RETIU- ME NT SYSTE14 AND THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The Board of Administration, Public Employees' Retirement System, hereinafter
referred to as Board, and the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF AIIAIERI, hereinafter re-
ferred to as Public Agency, having entered into a contract under date of July 25,
1950, effective September 1, 1950, and as amended effective July 1, 1956, Septembef
13 1956, July 1, 1959, May 1, 1962, August 1, 1962, January 22, 1965, and April 28,
1967, which provides for the participation of Public Agency in said System, Board
and Public Agency hereby agree as follows:
A. The following subparagraph shall be added to Paragraph 7 of said Contract:
7 (k) Section 21251.75 of the Government Code (providing for increases in
al101Tances payable for time commencing on the first day of the calendar
month coinciding with or next following the effective date of'this
amendment to persons retired prior to January 1, 1967)•
B. Paragraphs 8 (a) and 8 (b) shall be stricken from said Contract and the fol-
lowing paragraphs substituted therefor:
8 (a) With respect to miscellaneous members, the city shall contribute the
following percentages of monthly salaries earned as miscellaneous
members of said System:
(1) 0.953 percent until August3l, 1980 on account of the liability
for prior service benefits.
(2) 4.996 percent on account of the liability for current service
benefits.
8 (b) With respect to local safety members, the city shall contribute the
following percentages of monthly salaries earned as local safety
members of said System:
(1) 0.584 percent until August 31, 1980 on account of the liability
for prior service benefits.
(2) 8.07 percent on account of the liability for current service
benefits.
