2560ORDINANCE NO. 2560 Ali ORDINANCE OF THE CITlY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING TITLE 1, CHAPTER 1.04, SECTION 1.0.4.380 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, PERTAINING TO EXPENSE ALLOWANCES. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Title 1, Chapter 1.04, Section 1.04.380 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 1.04.380 EXPENSE ALLOWANCES --PLANNING COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS. "There shall be allowed to each member of the Planning Commission, except ex -officio and advisory members, the sum of twenty dollars per official meeting attended by said member not to exceed one meeting per week, and there shall be allowed to each member of the City Council the sum of twenty-five dollars per official meeting at- tended by said member, not to exceed one meeting per week, and in addition thereto there shall be allowed an additional sum of twenty-five dollars to the councilman designated as mayor. For the purpose of his expense allowance a councilman will be deemed to be in attendance at any meeting from which he may be absent while engaged in official City business determined to be such by a majority vote of the City Council either in advance of or following such absence. Said allowances are author- ized to reimburse said members for expense of attending_ meetings, traveling to and from their usual place of business to said meetings, traveling to and from property under consideration for action by the respective body of which til, y are members, and all other expenses connecteel with the performance of their duties as commissioners or councilmen. It is recognized that the councilman acting as mayor will have additional expenses by reason of official appearances for the City not ordinarily in- curred by other council members. The expenses authorized hereunder need not be accounted for by the recipients, but no other expenses shall be allowed except upon_ specific authorization therefor by the City Council." SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circu- lated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
