AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 14 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE BY
ADDING CHAPTER 14.56 THERETO, RELATING TO
CONTROL OF TRAFFIC TURNING MOVEMENTS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 14 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be and
the same is hereby amended by adding thereto Chapter 14.56,
reading as follows:
"CHAPTER 14.56 CONTROL OF TRAFFIC TURNING
MOVEMENTS.
"SECTION 14.56.010 DECLARATION - INTERSECTIONS WHERE
RIGHT TURN AGAINST RED OR 'STOP'
SIGNAL IS PROHIBITED.
"The intersections listed below in Section 14.56.040 are
hereby declared to be intersections at which drivers of
vehicles may be prohibited to make a right turn against
a red or 'stop' signal when a sign giving notice of such
prohibition is posted as hereinafter specified.
"SECTION 14.56.020 AUTHORITY TO POST SIGNS.
"With respect to the intersections listed below in Section
14.56.040, the City Traffic Engineer, with the approval of
the Chief of Police, is hereby authorized to place and
maintain, or cause to be placed and maintained, appropriate
signs at or near those corners where the City Traffic
Engineer determines that the making of a right turn against
a'red or 'stop' signal would seriously interfere with the
safe and orderly flow of traffic.
"SECTION 14.56.030 SIGNS TO CONFORM TO CALIFORNIA VEHICLE
CODE SPECIFICATIONS.
"Any signs placed pursuant to Section 14.56.020 shall
conform to the provisions of the California vehicle
Code governing traffic signs.
"SECTION 14.56.040 NO RIGHT TURN. AGAINST RED OR 'STOP'
SIGNAL - INTERSECTIONS DESIGNATED.
"Intersections covered by Section 14.56.010 are listed as
follows:
(1) La Palma and Anaheim
(2) La Palma and West
(3) Wilshire and Lincoln
(4) West and Lincoln
(5) Haster and Katella."

SECTION 2 .
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaperr of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by
me this 13th day of August 1968.
