2533ORDINANCE NO. 2533 Ai ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF A14AIiEI14 OF THE TERRITORY KNOT -IN AND DESIGNATED AS LINCOLN -WALNUT ANNExATION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City of Anaheim did on the 15th day of January , 19 68 , receive a written application signed by all of the owners o? land within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim. That said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said application signed by all of the owners of land within the territory pro- posed to be annexed contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this ordinance described. That the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the terri- tory to be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commission and said Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexa- tion request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1 of the Government Code. That on the nth day of April 19 68 , the Local Agency Formation Commission duly adopted Resolution No. 68-52 in which said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory in accordance with Section 54797.1 of the Govern- ment Code and further approved such annexation of said territory without notice or hearing. That the Local Agency Formation Commission further, by resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without notice or hearing by the City Council and without the requirement that an election be held by the City on the question of said annexation. SECTION 2. That the annexation of the territory included within the boundaries of the herein described T.TNr0T.N-WA7MJT ANNEXATION, and more particu- larly described as follows, to wit: MM LINCOLN -WALNUT ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM That parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, being a portion of the land allotted to Paula Peralta de Dominguez in Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, recorded in Book "B" of Judgments of the 17th Judicial District Court of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the existing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established by the Santa Ana Canyon Annexa- tion No. 1 to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance No. 2471 January 30, 1968, filed with the Secretary of State February 29, 1968 and recorded March 4, 1968 in the office of the County Re- corder of said Orange County, California, said point of beginning being the Northwest corner of the land described in Parcel Two in the deed recorded December 22, 1961 in Book 5954, page 990 of Official Records of Orange County, California, said point of beginning and said Northwest corner being distant North 89049'00" East 895.29 feet, more or less, from the common corner of Sec- tions 1, 2, 11 and 12 in Township 4 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B. &M., said Northwest corner being described in said deed as being distant 13.565 chains from said common corners; thence North 890 49' 00" East 424.71 feet, more or less, along a portion of the said existing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim, also being the Northerly line of the parcel of land described in Parcel Two in the last mentioned deed to the North- east corner of the land described in Parcel Two of said deed; thence South 860 30' 00" East 36.11 feet, continuing along a por- tion of the said existing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim to an intersection with -the Southwesterly right of way line of that certain service road commonly known as Walnut Canyon Road (95 feet wide), as described in Parcel One in the deed to the City of Anaheim recorded November 19, 1964 in Book 7309, page 776 of Official Records, said point of intersection being a point in a curve concave Northeasterly and having a radius of 2065.00 feet, a radial line bearing South 790 57' 10" West passes through said point; thence Southeasterly leaving the said existing City Limit line of the City of Anaheim, following along a portion of the Southwest- erly right of way line of said Walnut Canyon Road (95 feet wide) along a portion of said curve through a central angle of 17014'55" -2- Lincoln -Walnut Annexation to the City of Anaheim an arc distance of 621.66 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the Easterly prolongation of the Southerly line of the land described in said Parcel Two of the aforementioned deed; hence South 890 49' 00" West 664.55 feet, more or less, along said prolongation and Southerly line of the land described in Parcel Two of said deed, to the Southwest corner of said Parcel Two; thence North 00 32' 08" West 589.71 feet, more or less, along the Westerly line of the land described in Parcel Two of said deed, to the point of beginning. -3- is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and is hereby designated'as the LINCOLN-WAT.NLTT ANNEXATION to the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1 of the Government Code and with- out notice and hearing by the City Council and without the require- ment that the City hold an election on the question of annexation, all in accordance with the approval of the Local Agency Formation Commission. SECTION 3. That from and after the effective date of this ordinance and the filing of a certified copy thereof with the Secretary of State of the State of California, the annexation of the territory herein described shall be deemed to be and shall be complete and thenceforth such annexed territory shall be, to all intents and purposes, a part of the City of Anaheim, and from and after the effective date of such annexation, all property therein shall be subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay its proportionate share of the existing indebtedness and liability of said City of Anaheim contracted prior to or existing at the time of such annexation pursuant to the written consent of the owners of proPerty in said annexed territory filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior to the adoption of this ordinance. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall be in full force and effect.
