AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE
TERRITORY K14OWN AND DESIGNATED AS SANTA ANA
CANYON ANNEXATION NO. 1.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAIIEI14 DOES ORDAIPT
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on
the 5th clay of December , 19 67 , receive a written
petition asking that certain new territory described in said
petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim.
That prior to the circulation or filing of said
petition, notice of intention to annex said territory, contain-
ing the specific boundaries of the territory to be annexed, was
filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission, and said Local
Agency Formation Commission rendered its decision, as proviULed
in Section 54797 of the Governmeiit Code, approving said
aiinexation.
That saiu territory proposed to be annexed to sai�;
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State o
California, ani is contiguous to the City of Anaheirl, and is
uninnauited territory. That said petition contained a pie -scrip -
tion of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in
this ordinance described.
That the City Council duly assembled at a --
regular meeting of said City Council held on the 5th day of
December, 19 67 , did find that said petitioi' at the time
it was filed and received was signed by the owners of not 'Less
than one-fourth of the land in the territory by area and by
assessed value, as shown on the last preceding equalized assess--
ment roll of the County of Orange, State of California, in whic:l
said territory is situated, and that said territory did not for-
a part of any municipal corporation, and did find that saki ter-
ritory.is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited
territory.
That on the 5th day of December , 19 67 , at
a -- regular meeting of said City Council of the
City of Anaheim, Resolution No. 67R-676 was duly passed and
adopted specifically describing th boundaries of the territory
so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim and designating
such territory as SANTA ANA CANYON ANNEXATION NO. 1

ZXM and giving notice of such annexation and fixing the
23rd day of January , 19 68 , at the hour of 1:30
o'clock P.M. at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall in the
City of Anaheim, as the day, hour and place for hearing of written
protests to said annexation and when and where any person owning
real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed
and having objections to the proposed annexation might appear
before the City Council of the City of Anaheim and present written
objections to the annexation of said territory to the City of
Anaheim, and directing the City Clerk to publish or cause to be

published a copy of said resolution at least twice, but not
oftener than once a week, for two successive weeks prior to
the date of said hearing, in a newspaper of general circula-
tion, published in the City of Anaheim, to wit: the
Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County,
California, and also in a newspaper of general circulation,
published outside of the City of Anaheim, but in the County of
Orange,•in which is located the territory hereinafter proposed
to be annexed to the City of Anaheim, to wit: the
Placentia Courier an
directing that said publications be completed at least twenty
(20) days prior to the date of hearing hereinabove mentioned;
and further directing the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to each person to whom -land -within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed in the last equalized County assessment roll
available on the date the proceedings were initiated, at the
address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in which he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said City Clerk; and that in the event
that land within the territory proposed to be annexed to the
City of Anaheim is owned by a county, that the City Clerk shall
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to the Board of Supervisors of such county, and directing that
such notices be given not less than twenty (20) days before the
first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
That on the hour, day and at the place specified in
said Resolution No. 67R-676 , to wit: On the 23rd day of
Januar , 19 68 , at the hour of 1:30 _6'=lock P.M.
in the City Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of
Anaheim, California, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
meet and assemble to hear and pass on all protests filed or re-
ceived up to the closing of the hearing on said protests. That
the City Council did find that the resolution fixing the time
and place of said hearing was published by the City Clerk as
therein directed, and that written notice of such proposed
annexation was mailed by the City Clerk as directed in said
resolution and as set forth above, and that written protests
were not made by the owner or owners of one-half of the value
of the territory proposed to be annexed according to the last
equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange, State of
California, nor were protests made by public or private owners
equal to one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be
annexed as determined by the City Council. Said findings were
then duly adopted by Resolution No. 68R-35 on
January 23 , 19 68
SECTION 2.
That the annexation of the territory included within
the boundaries of the SANTA ANA CANYON ANNEXATION NO. 1

That parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of
California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing City Limit line of
the City of Anaheim, said point of beginning being at the
intersection of the Southerly line of Tract No. 936, as shown
on a Map recorded in Book 30, pages 1 and 2 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California, with the Westerly
line of Lot 8 of said Tract No, 936, as established by the
Yorba Annexation to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance
No. 1777, November 13, 1962, filed with the Secretary of
State August 10, 1964 and recorded August 13, 1964 in the
office of the County Recorder of Official Records of Orange
County, California; thence
Following along the said existing City Limit lines of the
City of Anaheim, the following courses and distances: North
00 18° East 2,101 feet, more or less, along a portion of the
Westerly line of Lot 8 of said Tract No. 936, to an intersec-
tion with the Southerly line of Santa Ana Canyon Road; thence
South 850 52" 09" East 117.46 feet, more or less, along
a portion of the Southerly line of said Santa Ana Canyon Road
to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northerly and hav-
ing a radius of 2,110 feet, more or less; thence
Easterly along said curve through a central angle of 120
37" 17" an arc distance of 465 feet, more or less, to an inter-
section with the Southerly prolongation of the West line of
Lot 4 of the Dominguez Estate, as shown on a Map of Survey
filed in Book 2, page 15 of Record of Surveys in the office of
the County Recorder of Orange County, California; thence
North 00 00" East 1,208 feet, more or less, along said
Southerly prolongation and said Westerly line of Lot 4 of said
Dominguez Estate to the Northwest corner of said Lot 4, said
Northwest corner of Lot 4 also being the Northeast corner of
Lot 3 of said Dominguez Estate; thence
North 610 35" West 95 feet, more or less, along a portion
of t' . '.Northerly line of Lot 3 of said Dominguez Estate to an
intersection with the Southerly prolongation of the Easterly
line of the land conveyed to Arnulfo OQ Dominguez by deed re-
corded December 1, 1911 in Book 190, page 325 of Official Re-
cords of Orange County, California; thence
North 10 50" East 730 feet, more or less, along the said

Southerly prolongation and Easterly line of the land conveyed
to said Arnulfo O. Dominguez to the Northeast corner of said
parcel of land; thence
North 570 11' 07" West 150 feet, more or less, along a
portion of the Northerly line of the land conveyed to said
Arnulfo 0. Dominguez to an intersection with the Easterly line
of the land conveyed to the State of California by deed re-
corded October 14, 1952 in Book 2395, page 522 of Official
Records of Orange County, California; thence
North 10 08' 53" East 415 feet, more or less, along a
portion of the Easterly line of the land conveyed to said
State of California to an intersection with the Southerly line
of the land described in the boundary line agreement and grant
deed conveyed to Joe Leung Young and Louie Ho Young, husband
and wife, recorded March 31, 1964 in Book 69839 pages 893
through 899 of Official Records of Orange County, California;

Leaving the said existing City Limit line of the City of
Anaheim, following along the said Southerly line of the land
conveyed to said Joe Leung Young and wife, the following
courses and distances: South 560 30' East 920.27 feet, South
870 30' East 953.07 feet to an intersection with the Northerly
prolongation of the Westerly line of the land conveyed to
Daniel S. Halladay by deed recorded August 13, 1936 in Book 841,
page 134 of Official Records of Orange County, California;

Northerly prolongation to the Northwest corner of the land con-
veyed to said Daniel S. Halladay; thence
North 690 00' 00" East 287.20 feet along the Northerly
line of the land conveyed to said Daniel S. Halladay to the
Northeast corner of said parcel; thence
South 140 feet along the Easterly line of the land con-
veyed to said Daniel S. Halladay to the Southeast corner of
said land, said Southeast corner also being the Northwest corner
of that land conveyed to Howard L. Budlong and Rose Marie
Budlong, husband and wife, by deed recorded February 14, 1961
in Book 5629, page 12 of Official Records of Orange County,
California; thence continuing South 13,250 feet, more or less,
along the Westerly line of the land conveyed to said Howard
L. Budlong and wife to the Southwest corner of said parcel;

7798, pages 666 and 667 of Official Records of Orange County,

Following along the Southerly line of the land conveyed
to said Gar -Lo Inc. the following courses and distances: North
740 02' East 726.17 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 1,950 feet; thence
Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 40
51' 07" an arc distance of 165013 feet to the Southeast corner
of the parcel of land conveyed to said Gar -Lo Inc., said South-
east corner also being the Northwest corner of that parcel of
land conveyed to the State of California by deed recorded June
29, 1948 in Book 1661, pages 232 through 237 of Official Re-
cords of Orange County, California, said Northwest corner be-
ing in the last mentioned curve concave Northwesterly and hav-
ing a radius of 1,950 feet, a radial line bearing South 3043'
57" East passes through said Northwest corner; thence Northeast-
erly along the Northerly line of the land conveyed to said
State of California, through a central angle of 80 56' 19" an

said curve to an intersection with the Northwesterly prolonga-

is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and
incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, and is hereby designated as the SANTA ANA
CANYON ANNEXATION NO. 1 111115MOMM to the City of
Anaheim.
SECTION 3.
That from and after the effective date of this
ordinance and the filing of a certified copy thereof with the
Secretary of State of the State of Ca,�,jfornia, the annexation
of the territory herein described shall be deemed to be and
shall be complete and thenceforth such annexed territory shall
be, to all intents and purposes, a part of the City of Anaheim,
and from and after the effective date of such annexation, all
property therein shall be subject to taxation equally with the
property within the City of Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay
its proportionate share of the existing indebtedness and
liability of said City of Anaheim contracted prior to or exist-
ing at the time of such annexation pursuant to the written con-
sent of the owners of property in said annexed territory filed
with the.Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior to the adoption of
this ordinance.
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the
Anaheim Bulletin - , a newspaper of general circu-
lation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, and thirty (30) days from
and after its final passage it shall be in full force and effect.
