ORDINANCE NO. 2255
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 14, CHAPTER 14.32 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 14.32.180
AND BY ADDING SECTIONS 14.32.084, 14.32.153,
14.32.182, 14.32.183 AND 14.32.18.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 14, Chapter 14.32, Section 14.32.180 of
the Anaheim Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended
by adding thereto the following paragraph:
"SECTION 14.32.180 CITY PARKING LOTS --TRUCKS PROHIBITED --
TWO HOUR LIMIT.
"Notwithstanding the provisions of this Section, on that
certain parking lot or area (owned or maintained by the City
of Anaheim) more particularly described as follows: bounded
on the east by Lemon Street, the south by Anaheim Boulevard,
the north by Romneya Drive, and the west by Homer Street,
the parking of vehicles shall be prohibited between the hours
of 9:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. of the following day, of any day,
EXCEPT THAT parking may be permitted between the hours of
9:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. of the following day, of any day,
during the conduct of scheduled events at La Palma Park or
during such time as the Anaheim -Fullerton Municipal Court is
in session."
SECTION 2.
That Title 14, Chapter 14.32 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto Sec-
tions 14.32.084, 14.32.153, 14.32.182, 14.32.183 and 14.32.184
reading as follows:
"SECTION 14.32.084 SPEED CONTESTS OR EXHIBITION OF SPEED
PROHIBITED --PRIVATE PARKING LOTS.
"No person or persons shall engage in, or aid and abet in,
any motor vehicle speed contest or exhibition of speed on
any private parking lot or other area open to the public
when the owner of said lot or area has caused such lot or
area to be posted prohibiting the conduct of such speed-
contests
peedcontests or exhibitions of speed on said lot or area."
"SECTION 14.32.153 PARKING RESTRICTED --9:00 P.M. TO
6:00 A.M.--STREETS DESIGNATED.
"It shall be unlawful between the hours of 9:00 P.M. and
6:00 A.M. of the following day, of any day, to park or leave
parked any vehicle upon any of the following designated
portions of city streets, EXCEPT THAT parking may be permitted
between said hours during the conduct of scheduled events at
La Palma Park or during such time as the Anaheim -Fullerton
Municipal Court is in session, and the Chief of Police is

authorized and directed to post immediately and maintain along
said portions of city streets appropriate signs designating
said parking restrictions:
1. Parry Street, on either side, between Anaheim Boulevard
and Romneya Drive.
2. Swan Street, on either side, between Anaheim Boulevard
and Romneya Drive.
3. Romneya Drive, on either side, between Harbor Boulevard
and Lemon Street."
"SECTION 14.32.182 LOITERING --PUBLIC PARKING LOTS --
PROHIBITED.
"No person or group of persons shall loiter on'or near any
public parking lot or area owned or maintained by the City
of Anaheim. As used herein, to "loiter" shall be defined
to mean to linger idly by the way, to idle, or to loaf, to
stand or walk about aimlessly without purpose."
"SECTION 14.32.183 SPEED CONTESTS OR EXHIBITIONS OF SPEED
PROHIBITED --PUBLIC PARKING LOTS.
"No person or persons shall engage in, or aid and abet in,
any motor vehicle speed contest or exhibition of speed on
any public parking lot or area owned or maintained by the
City of Anaheim."
"SECTION 14.32.184 15 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT --PARKING
LOTS.
"No person shall drive any vehicle on or over any parking
lot or other area owned or maintained by the City of Anaheim
at a speed greater than fifteen (15) miles per hour."
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify -to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by
me this 1st day of March 1966.
