A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE HOSPITAL & SERVICE EMPLOYEE UNION, LOCAL 399
AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Labor Relations Director has met and conferred
with officials and employee representatives of the Hospital &
Service Employee Union, Local 399 to discuss Section 21266 of
the California Government Code, Post Retirement Survivor
Allowance; and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding dated May 31, 1991
between the parties has been prepared and signed to be effective
upon action of the City Council of the city of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find
that it is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim to
approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated May 31,
1991, between the Hospital & Service Employee Union, Local 399
and the City of Anaheim, copies of which are attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, are hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 9~h day of July~ 1991.

CITY OF ANAHEIM
The Hospital & Service Employees, Local 399, (H&SE, LOCAL 399)
and the City of Anaheim (ANAHEIM), after meeting and conferring,
have reached an understanding to adopt Section 21266 of the
California Government Code, Post Retirement Survivor Allowance
as specifically provided herein.
ANAHEIM and the H&SE, Local 399 agree to modify the Memorandum
of Understanding between the parties, dated February 28, 1989,
as follows:
ARTICLE II
HIRING & EMPLOYMENT OF EMPLOYEES WORKING DURING
SPORTS & OTHER EVENTS AT ANAHEIM STADIUM
AND CONVENTION CENTER
ADD:
ANAHEIM aqrees to adopt Section 21266 Of the California
Government Code. Post Retirement Survivor Allowance to
continue after remarriaae as early as possible. for
those employees assianed to cateqory lB.
C~GE:
~. Employees hired or assigned to positions defined in
paragraph lB shall have the employees 7% contribution
to the retirement system paid for by ANAHEIM.
