_. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMEND-
ING TITLE 18, CHAPTER 18.16, SECTION
18.16.030, AND CHAPTER 18.20, SECTION
18.20.010 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 18, Chapter 18.16, Section 18.16.030, Para-
graph (5) of the .Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 18.16.030 PERMITTED ACCESSORY BUILDINGS,
STRUCTURES AND USES.
"(5) The maintaining of birds and animals for domestic
non-commercial use shall be permitted, and said birds or
animals shall not be maintained in coops, pens or stables
or other quarters within forty (40) feet of any window or
door of any building used for human habitation or within
twenty (20) feet of side lot lines. Further, the main-
taining of such birds or animals shall be subject to the
provisions of Chapter 8.08 of this Code, and the following:
(a) Poultry, rabbits and cavies shall not exceed twenty-
four (24) birds or animals per acre.
(b) Horses shall not exceed four (4) adult animals and
their immature offspring on a minimum one (1) acre
site.
(c) Cattle, sheep and goats shall be permitted on parcels
of land five (5) acres or more in area; however, the
number of such animals shall not exceed a total of
two (2) per each acre."
SECTION 2.
That Title 18, Chapter 18.20, Section 18.20.010, Para-
graph (5) of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 18.20.010 USE.
°(5) The maintaining of birds and animals for domestic
non-commercial use shall be permitted, and said birds or
animals shall not be maintained in coops, pens or stables
or other quarters within forty (40) feet of any window or
door of any building used for auman habitation or within
twenty (20) feet of side lot :lines. Further, the maintain-
ing of such birds or animals shall be subject to the pro-
visions of Chapter 8.08 of this Code, and the following:

SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify- to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and cir-
culated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its
final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
this 8tH day of February, 1966.

introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, held on the 1st day of February, 1966, and
that the same was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of said
City Council held on the 8th day of February, 1966, by the
following vote of the members thereof:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
