2708ORDINANCE NO. 2708 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING CHAPTER 18.28, SECTION 18.28.050 THEREOF, RELATING TO ZONING. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SFCTInN 1. That Title 18, Chapter 18.28, Section 18.28.050 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "CHAPTER 18.28. ZONING CODE -- R-2, MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE. "SECTION 18.28.050 SITE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS "(6) Yards and Building Setback Requirements: (b)3(c) An accessory building may abut a a side property line between the required front setback and the rear property line. "(9) Vehicular Accessways: (a) Every apartment and/or dwelling unit shall be located within two hundred (200) feet of, and be served by, such public or private accessways that will provide adequate access and circulation for pedestrian and for vehicular traffic, including fire, utility, trash collec- tion and other essential services. (b) All vehicular accessways shall permit a minimum turning radius of twenty-five (25) feet. "(10) Off Street Parking Requirements The following parking requirements shall apply: (a) Each type of dwelling unit shall be provided with at least the following number of off-street parking spaces; one of which must be covered: Bachelor, single, one and two bedroom unit - 1 1/2 spaces Three bedroom unit - 2 1/4 spaces (All rooms other than a living room, kit- chen, dining room, bathroom, hall, lobby, closet, or pantry shall be considered a bedroom for purposes of interpretation of parking requirements.) -1- Fractional requirements of one-half (1/2) or more spaces shall be construed as one full space in deter- mining the required number of spaces. (b) Covered spaces: Minimum interior dimensions of ten feet in width and twenty feet in length and having a clear access width of nine feet. Open spaces: Eight and one-half (8 1/2) feet wide and nineteen (19) feet long. (c) Each covered parking space shall be within two hundred (200) feet of and readily acces- sible to, the dwelling unit it serves. (d) All carports shall be enclosed on three sides except that when built in combination of two or more adjacent spaces, only the rear of the carports and the two ends need be en- closed. All interior walls of carports shall be finished with exterior material. General storage cabinets, and one hundred (100) cubic feet per car space minimum capacity, shall be provided within each carport or conveniently located thereto. Adequate bumper guards shall be provided to protect the interior walls of carports from damage. (e) Parking facilities shall be screened from ad- jacent properties and from living and recrea- tional -leisure areas and from adjacent streets. SECTION 2 The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said City, and forty-five (45) days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
