2920ORDINANCE NO. 2920 AN ORDIi3ANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM MENDING TITLE 14, CHAPTER 14.32, SECTION 14.32.050 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO BUS ZONES. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS. SECTION 1: That Title 14, Municipal Code be amended "Section 14._32.050 Chapter 14.32, Section 14.32.050 of the to read as follows BUS LOADING ZONES TO BE ESTABLISHED. The traffic engineer, with the approval of the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to establish bus loading zones for the loading and unloading of buses of common carriers of passengers and to determine the location thereof, subject to the limitations and directives as set forth herein. 1. The word "bus" as used in this section shall mean any motor vehicle, other than a motor truck or truck tractor, designed for carrying more than 10 Dersons including the driver and used or maintained for the transportation of passengers. 2. No bus zone shall exceed 100 feet in length, except that when satisfactory evidence has been presented to the City "Manager showing the necessity thereof. The City Iuianager may extend bus zones not to exceed a total length of 130 feet. 3. When it is necessary to remove parking meters in order to establish a bus zone, satisfactory evidence shall be presented to tle City Manager who may authorize the removal. 4. Bus zones shall be indicated by signs, and/or red colored curbs with white or silver letters applied, indicated "No Standing - Bus Loading Zone" on the top of curbs in such zones. 5. No bus shall stand in any bus zone longer than necessary to load or unload passengers, except that at the terminus of any route a bus may stop and wait without loading or unloading passengers for a period not to exceed 15 minutes. 6. No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle except a bus in any bus zone." - 1- SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circu- lated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
