A ~SOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
~EIM APPROVING A ~TTER OF UNDE~T~DING BE~EEN
THE ~EIM FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION, ~D THE CITY
OF ~EIM.
mEReS, on Dece~er 11, 1990 the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 90R-434 approving a Memorandum of Understanding
between the Anaheim Firefighters Association and the City of
Anaheim; and
mEREAS, the Labor Relations Director met and conferred with
officials and employee representatives of the Anaheim
Firefi~ters Association, to discuss specific concerns relative
to amending Article 38 of said Memorandum of Understanding; and
mEREAS, a Letter of Understanding dated Dece~er 6, 1991,
between the parties has been prepared and signed amending
Article 38 of the current Memorandum of Understanding, said
amendment to be effective Dece~er 20, 1991; and
mEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find
that it is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to
approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THE~FO~, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated Dece~er
6, 1991, between the Anaheim Firefighters Association, and the
City of Anaheim copies of which are attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, are approved and said
Memorandum of Understanding is hereby amended in accordance with
the te~s of said ~tter of Understanding.
THE FORGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 17th day of December ,
1991.

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
between the
ANAHEIM FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION
and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The Anaheim Firefighters Association and the City of Anaheim,
after meeting and conferring, have reached an understanding to revise
Article 38, Paid Leave Program, to amend Article 38.1.10, as follows:
38.1.10 Paid leave time which is accrued but not taken shall be
paid under the following conditions:
38.1.10.1 Upon termination, the employee shall be paid for
all hours accrued but not used in excess of two
hundred forty-five (245). In the event the
employee retires from ANAHEIM service, all hours
accrued but not used shall be reported as unused
sick leave for additional service credit in
accordance with the contract between ANAHEIM and
the Public Employees Retirement System, or, at the
option of the employee, paid in cash at the
employee's regular hourly rate of pay.
