91-335 RESOLUTION NO. 91R-335
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING
PARTICIPATION IN A STATEWIDE
PURCHASING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the County Supervisors Association of
California and the League of California Cities are jointly
sponsoring a statewide purchasing program; and,
WHEREAS, a lead public agency has been designated to
contract for volume discount pricing on certain products and
services for the benefit of public agencies throughout the State
of California; and
WHEREAS, participation by the city of Anaheim in the
Statewide Purchasing Program is expected to generate savings on
the goods and services offered under the program; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 6502 authorizes cities
to participate jointly with other public agencies in such a
program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. That the participation of the City of Anaheim in
the Statewide Purchasing program jointly sponsored by the County
Supervisors' Association of California and the League of
California cities is hereby approved, and joint participation is
hereby authorized pursuant to the provisions of Government Code
Section 6502.
2. The Mayor, City Manager, the City Clerk, the
Purchasing Manager and other designated officials of the City of
Anaheim and all other proper officers and officials of the City
are hereby authorized and directed to execute purchase orders and
documents and to perform such other acts and deeds as may be
necessary or covenient to effect the purposes of this Resolution
and the participation of the City of Anaheim in the Statewide
Purchasing Program.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
city Council of the City of Anaheim this l?th day of
December 1991.
