A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING SPECIFIC PLAN NO. 88-3 FOR
PACIFICENTER ANAHEIM (FORMERLY SANTA FE PACIFIC
PLAZA) AND AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 89R-59 AND
89R-60 ACCORDINGLY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the procedures set forth in
Chapter 18.93 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, the City Council has
heretofore adopted Resolutions No. 89R-59 and 89R-60 adopting
Specific Plan No. 88-3 and the zoning and development standards
therefor; and
WHEREAS, the zoning and development standards for
Specific Plan No. 88-3 were heretofore adopted by Ordinance No.
5045; certain property was reclassified to the Specific Plan 88-3
Zone pursuant to Ordinance No. 5046; and the zoning and
development standards for Specific Plan No. 88-3 were amended by
Ordinance No. 5207; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received an application
to amend Specific Plan No. 88-3 in the manner hereinafter set
forth; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has heretofore adopted
its Resolution No. PC91-171 recommending the amendment of
Specific Plan No. 88-3; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing
upon said application, notice of which hearing was given in the
manner required by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after due consideration of
all evidence, testimony and reports offered at said public
hearing does hereby find and determine with respect to said
proposed amendment that:
1. The property covered by the specific plan has unique
site characteristics including topography, location and
surroundings which will be enhanced by the special land use and
development standards of the specific plan; and
2. The plan is consistent with the goals and policies of
the General Plan and with the purpose, standards and land use
guidelines therein; and
3. The specific plan will result in development of a
desirable character which will be compatible with existing and
proposed development in the surrounding area; and
4. The specific plan contributes to a balance of land
uses; and
5. The specific plan respects environmental and aesthetic
resources consistent with economic realities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the
City of Anaheim as follows:
1. That any and all references to Specific Plan No. 88-3
contained in Resolutions No. 89R-59 and 89R-60 be, and the same
are hereby, amended to mean and refer to that certain document
entitled "PacifiCenter Anaheim Specific Plan 88-3, Amendment 2"
dated October, 1991, marked Exhibit "A" and on file in the office
of the City Clerk.
2. That, except as expressly amended herein, Resolutions
No. 89R-59 and 89R-60 shall remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 10th day of December ,
1991 ·
