AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 3, CHAPTER 3.32, SECTION 3.32.050
ENTITLED "ENTERTAINMENTS NEAR CERTAIN INSTI-
TUTIONS - PROHIBITED - NO LICENSE TO ISSUE".
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1.
That Title 3, Chapter 3.32, Section 3.32.050 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows;
"SECTION 3.32.050 Entertainments near certain
institutions - Prohibited -- No
license to issue.
"No person shall hold or conduct any carnival,
fair, circus, dog or animal show, or other show or
entertainment given in any tent, open enclosure or
temporary structure within one thousand feet of any
school, schoolhouse, church or other place of public
worship, hospital or sanitarium within the City, pro-
vided, however, that the provisions of this paragraph
shall not apply to meeting of a religious, educational
or political character, further provided, however, that
the provisions of this paragraph shall not apply to
any of the aforedescribed events on school or church
property under the authorization of a public school or
church and/or under the sponsorship of said school or
church.
The License Collector shall not issue to any
person any license to establish, hold or conduct any
carnival, dog or animal show, or other show or entertain-
ment in any tent, open enclosure or temporary structure
within one thousand feet of any school, schoolhouse,
church or other place of public worship, hospital or
sanitarium within the City, provided that this paragraph
shall not apply to meetings of a religious, educational
or political nature, provided, further that the provi-
sions of this paragraph shall not apply to any of the
aforedescribed events on school or church property under
the authorization of a public school or church and/or under
the sponsorship of said school or church."
SECTION 2.
The Citv Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to. be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said Citv and thirty (30) dv_s from and after its
- final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
