A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
WITH THE URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION
ADMINISTRATION OF THE UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to perform, together
with the Orange County Transit District (OCTD), a study known as an
Intelligent Vehicle-Highway Systems (IVHS) Operational Test; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to receive federal
assistance in the financing of such a study; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Mass Transportation Administration
(UMTA) of the United States Department of Transportation has
offered to enter into a cooperative agreement to finance such
study, and a copy of the proposed agreement is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
That the City Manager is authorized to execute the
cooperative agreement with the Urban Mass Transportation
Administration of the United States Department of Transportation,
of which a copy is attached hereto as Exhibit "A", on behalf of the
City of Anaheim, California, to perform an Anaheim/OCTD Transit
IVHS operational test.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 24th day of September ,
1991.
