A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DESIGNATING THE
CHIEF OF POLICE AS THE PERSON
AUTHORIZED TO RECEIVE, ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY, FORFEITED MONEY AHD OTHER
PROPERTY IN CONNECTION WITH
ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS CONCERNING
CONTROLLED SUBSTAHCES.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Police Department, in cooperation
with Federal agencies and other local agencies, is responsible
for enforcement of laws relating to controlled substances; and
WHEREAS, through such activities of the Anaheim Police
Department, the City becomes entitled to receive money and other
property which is declared forfeit through legal proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has received such money
and other probetty on behalf of the City; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to
continue such procedure; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to memorialize and document
the authority of the Chief of Police in regard thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
SECTION 1.
The Chief of Police is hereby designated as the person
authorized to receive, on behalf of the City, money and other
property which is declared forfeit in legal proceedings as a
result of the participation of the Anaheim Police Department in
enforcing laws relating to controlled substances.
SECTION 2.
This resolution shall take effect immediately and shall
serve to ratify all previous receipts of such money and other
property by the Chief of Police on behalf of the City.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 10th day of
September ~ 1991.
