AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 2, CHAPTER 2.04 SECTION 2.04.050
SUBSECTION 2.04.050.0203 PERTAINING TO SALES
AND USE TAX
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Title 2, Chapter 2.04 Section
2.04.050 Subsection 2.04.050.0203 shall be amended to read as
follows:
".0203 There shall be excluded from the gross
receipts by which the tax is measured:
0203.01 The amount of any sales or use tax
imposed by the State of California upon a retailer or
consumer.
0203.02 The gross receipts from the sale of
tangible personal property to operators of waterborne
vessels to be used or consumed principally outside the
city in which the sale is made and directly and
exclusively in the carriage of persons or property in
such vessels for commercial purposes.
0203.03 The gross receipts from the sale of
tangible personal property to operators of aircraft to
be used or consumed principally outside the city in
which the sale is made and directly and exclusively in
the use of such aircraft as common carriers of persons
or property under the authority of the laws of this
state, the United States, or any foreign government."
SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY
The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares
that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this
ordinance, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be
invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed
all other portions of this ordinance independent of the elim-
ination herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid.
SECTION 3. CERTIFICATION
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this or-
dinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said
City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it
shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 24th day of
January , 1984.
