ORDINANCE NO. 4585
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEID ADDING
SUBSECTION .095 TO SECTION 18.61.0;0, ADDING
SUBSECTION .145, AMENDING SUBSECTION .605 AND
REPEALING SUBSECTION .400, ALL OF SECTION
18.61.050 OF CHAPTER 18.61 OF TITLI 18 OF THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That Section 18.01.040 of Chapter 18.01 of Title 18 of
the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended by
adding thereto, in proper alphabetical sequence, a new definition
of "Corporate Headquarters," to read as follows:
"'Corporate Headquarters.' The use and
occupancy of one entire lot of not less than two acres
in area, including all buildings located thereon, by a
single business entity for a single business activity
not involving any retail sales which activity must
include the offices of such business entity.,,
SECTION 2.
That new subsection .095 be, and the same is hereby,
added to Section 18.61.020 of Chapter 18.61 of Title 18 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code to read as follows:
".095 Corporate Headquarters."
SECTION 3.
That new subsection .145 be, and the same is hereby,
added to Section 18.61.050 of Chapter 18.61 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code to read as follows:
".145 Sales businesses and office uses
which primarily serve and are compatible with
industrial uses and which are not otherwise permitted
uses in said zone pursuant to Section 18.61.020.095
hereof. For purposes of this section, any use which
is found to encourage retail sales of products or
merchandise or to attract customers other than
industrial users for industrial purposes permitted in
this zone shall not be deemed a use which primarily
serves and is compatible with industrial uses."
SECTION 4.
That subsection .605 of Section 1 .61.050 of Chapter
18.61 of Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same
is hereby, amended to read as follows:
".605 Sales businesses ane office uses
which primarily serve and are compatiblc with
industrial uses and which are not otherwise permitted
uses in said zone pursuant to Section 1E.61.020.095
hereof. For purposes of this section, any use which
is found to encourage retail sales of products or
merchandise or to attract customers other than
industrial users for industrial purposes permitted in
this zone shall not be deemed a use which primarily
serves and is compatible with industrial uses."
SECTION 5.
That subsection .400 of Section 18 61.050 of Chapter 18.61
of Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is
hereby, repealed.
SECTION 6. SEVERABILITY
The City Council of the City of Anheim hereby declares
that should any section, paragraph, sentenc or word of this
ordinance, hereby adopted, be declared for ny reason to be invalid,
it is the intent of the Council that it wou d have passed all other
portions of this ordinance independent of t e elimination herefrom
of any such portion as may be declared inva id.
SECTION 7. SAVINGS CLAUSEi
Neither the adoption of this ordinlince nor the repeal
hereby of any other ordinance of this City 3hall in any manner
affect the prosecution for violations of or inances, which
violations were committed prior to the effe tine date hereof, nor be
construed as a waiver of any license or pen lty'or the penal
provisions applicable to any violation thereof. The provisions of
this ordinance, insofar as they are substantially the same as
ordinance provisions previously adopted by the City relating to the
same subject matter, shall be construed as restatements and
continuations, and not as new enactments.
SECTION 8. CERTIFICATION
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of
general circulation, published and circulated in said City, and
thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it shall take
effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approv d and adopted by the City
