93-021 RESOLUTION NO. 93R-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE
SUBMITTAL OF SIGNAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT(S) TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR
FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to implement the
transportation improvements listed below; (1) Brookhurst Street
fiber-optic cable between Katella Avenue and La Palma Avenue, (2)
La Palma Avenue/SR-91 advanced signal detection between
Brookhurst Street and Lakeview Avenue, and (3) St. College
Boulevard/SR-57 advanced signal detection between Cerritos Avenue
and Lincoln Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the city of Anaheim has been declared by the
Orange County Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility
requirements to receive Measure M "turnback" funds; and
WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent
with the County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim will provide matching
funds for each project as required by the Orange County Combined
Transportation Funding Program Procedures Manual; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority
intends to allocate funds for transportation improvement projects
within the incorporated cities and the County; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the city of Anaheim that the city of Anaheim hereby requests the
Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds in the
amounts specified in the City's application to said city from the
Combined Transportation Funding Program. Said funds shall be
matched by funds from said city as required and shall be used to
aid the City in the improvement of the following street(s).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 26th day of
