A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING THE FILING OF A PROPOSAL
WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA OFFICE
OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING FOR
FUNDING AN ANTI-DRUG NEIGHBORHOOD
REVITALIZATION PROGRAM: "OPERATION
REVITALIZATION"
WHEREAS, funding exists for the development of drug
resistance and suppression programs through the "Operation
Revitalization" program of the California Office of Criminal
Justice Planning; and
WHEREAS, the California Office of Criminal Justice
Planning has in excess of two million dollars to fund a statewide
effort to implement a program of anti-drug-abuse and drug
suppression in the schools; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to assist in the
suppression, intervention and prevention of illegal drug use, as
described in the Gang/Drug Task Force report;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. That the filing of a proposal with the State of
California office of Criminal Justice Planning for "Operation
Revitalization" program funding is hereby approved; and
2. That the Chief of Police is hereby appointed as
agent of the City of Anaheim to conduct all negotiations, execute
and submit all documents including, but not limited to,
applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests, etc.,
which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned
project.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the city of Anaheim this 15th day of
June , 1993.
