A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF AN EASEMENT DEED TO
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR A CHANGEABLE
MESSAGE SIGN.
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of
Transportation ("Caltrans"), has requested that the City of
Anaheim grant to Caltrans an easement for the operation and
maintenance of a changeable message sign to be located within the
excess right-of-way of Wagner Avenue at SR 57; and
WHEREAS, the proposed changeable message sign is an
element of the city of Anaheim/Caltrans Motorist Information
Project; and
WHEREAS, the sign will be operated and maintained by
Caltrans; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to grant the
requested easement; and
WHEREAS, an easement deed has been prepared and
presented to the City which, if executed by the City, will grant
the requested easement to Caltrans;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby authorize and direct the Mayor
and City Clerk to execute, on behalf of the City of Anaheim, that
certain easement deed of which a copy is attached hereto.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
city Council of the City of Anaheim this 21st day of September ,
1993.
